October 2026 Activities
The month of October is packed with activities to play board games at the events we organize here at KLEFF.
For a few months now, we've made it our goal to have things happening on most game nights. Not just coming to see what games we pick from the game library, but also connecting with other people through board game slow friending or competing in tournaments of games you love or other games you don't yet know will become essential in your collection. Shall we see what special activities this month has in store for us?
La Cuenta Tournament · Thursday, October 1st
On the first game night at L' Estació - Espai Gastronòmic, we have one of those activities that perfectly matches our weekly event style. Yes, it's a La Cuenta tournament.
This game, published by 2 Tomatoes Games and created by Litus Carreras, puts us in the shoes of diners enjoying a meal where someone will have to pay the bill; make sure it's not you! Inevitably, someone will run out of money. When that happens, whoever has the most money left wins.
Each bar you visit represents a round, and each round consists of an indeterminate number of turns (orders you place in the kitchen). On each turn, the active player must play a card from their hand.
If you cannot play any cards on your turn, you must ask for the bill. Whoever paid the bill starts the next round. If at the start of a round you cannot play any cards, discard your entire hand, draw again until you reach your hand limit, and start over.
The game ends when someone runs out of savings. The winner is immediately whoever has the most savings left. In case of a tie, whoever has the most cash at that moment wins.
A tournament where the rules will be explained beforehand, although it's one of those games where you learn by playing directly.

Flip 7: Vengeance Tournament · Wednesday, October 7th
Maybe it's a bit pretentious to call yourself "the greatest card game of all time", but Flip 7 is a captivating card game that has been a hit on our game nights. The second week of the month, we return to our favorite day (Wednesdays) with a game night featuring a tournament for the second version of this great game: Flip 7 - With a Vengeance, which is essentially the same game as the original but with cards featuring new special actions.
What is it about and how does it work? It's about flipping cards one by one, but be careful not to repeat the same number! Sounds easy? Think again! It's not just any deck… In Flip 7: With A Vengeance, there is only one card with the number 1, two cards with 2, three with 3, and so on. Plus, there are tons of special cards that can cut your points in half, steal a card from you, or even force an opponent to draw four more cards! Are you the type who prefers to play it safe and secure your points before losing everything, or will you dare to risk it all for extra points by flipping seven cards in a row? A mix of luck and strategy in this addictive card game where no one is truly safe.

Board Game Slow Friending [Woman + Woman] / [Man + Man] and Zombie Princess Tournament · Wednesday, October 14th
We're going all out and hosting three sub-events within the game night: Women + Women Board Game Slow Friending in collaboration with the association Les Girls, Men + Men Board Game Slow Friending, and a Zombie Princess Tournament.
We don't need to talk too much about the Board Game Slow Friending, you already know them well. This time we've added the version aimed at men meeting other men, which was so well received in the last edition we held a few months ago.
During the same game night, you can also enjoy a Zombie Princess tournament, published by the publisher Zombi Paella (which became popular with their megahit La Fallera Calavera).
In Rebel Princess, princesses rejected unwanted marriage proposals from inopportune princes. Twenty-eight days later, the princes returned... turned into zombies!
The zombie horde keeps growing. It started with the princes, but it has spread to the region's inhabitants, the adorable forest creatures, and even our noble knights! The rebel princesses are our last hope. If they fail, the kingdom will fall into darkness forever: a true and terrifying "zombie world"!
Zombie Princess is the sequel to Rebel Princess. Just as Rebel Princess offered an ingenious modern take on the classic trick-taking card game Hearts, Zombie Princess does the same for the classic trick-taking game Spades.
Before the tournament starts, the rules of the game will be explained and pairs will be organized if you don't come with your +1.

Board Game and Japanese Gastronomy Afternoon · Sunday, October 18th
During the second quarter of 2026, we discovered that tasting Japanese gastronomy and playing board games on a terrace overlooking Barcelona is a perfect combination.
For another month, we are visiting Kasa Hanaka - Mas Guinardó to spend an incredible afternoon surrounded by pastries, Japanese food dishes, and simple board games. This month will be the last one we organize terrace games as it starts to get windy and chilly, and it's better to be indoors to enjoy the day.
In addition, we once again have the presence of Luis, who will teach us how to play his murder game "Shinobi Murder Game", a hidden roles game set in feudal Japan. It will be a guided game, so it's ideal for people who want to dive into this genre of role-playing games. You can sign up at this link.

Board Game Slow Friending [English speakers] · Tuesday, October 27th
KLEFF is an international community, and this October we wanted to focus on English speakers so they can take center stage at slow friending in Hugo's. We call this edition: Slow Friending with board games (though the venue's video consoles will also be available).
The event dynamics are the same: rotating tables, fun games, and more or less balanced age ranges and genders.
