August 2026 Activities

We're diving headfirst into the most summery month of the year: August. But that doesn't mean we're not eager to have fun. Yes, in summer it's great to go out, to the beach or the pool, but it's also nice to be somewhere with air conditioning, right?

This August, we're bringing you loads of activities so you can come at least one Wednesday (yes, in August there will only be game nights on Wednesdays) to see us and play some games. Ready to check out the special activities program for August?

Slow Friending Lúdico [Woman + Woman]

We start the month by organizing a new edition of Slow Friending Lúdico [Woman + Woman], in collaboration with the association Les Girls. This event will take place during the game night on Wednesday, August 5th, and aims for women (both LBTQ+ and non) to truly connect and, why not? make a match for something more while playing party games you can't miss.

If you haven't signed up yet, hurry because there are few spots left. You can register at this link, you'll need to fill out the form with your participant details and pay the registration fee.

¡Toma 6! Qualifying Tournament

On the same Wednesday, August 5th, starting at 7 PM, there's another activity you shouldn't miss: the ¡Toma 6! Qualifying Tournament.

A few days ago, we told you that we are once again organizing qualifying tournaments for Toma 6 and Saboteur in Barcelona. The first one is ¡Toma 6!, one of the most popular card games of recent times. This is a free tournament, although a 4€ consumption is required. The first two places in each tournament qualify for the national final at the Ludo Ergo Sum Festival (September 18-20, 2026, Madrid), with the option of even reaching the 2026 international final in Stuttgart (Germany), with free travel and accommodation! The second tournament is Saboteur, on Wednesday, August 26th.

Azul Tournament (official)

Together with RSGames, we are once again organizing a new official tournament, this time it's Azul.

If you don't know this game, we'll briefly explain everything you need to know. Azul is one of the most successful modern board games of the last decade. Designed by Michael Kiesling and published in 2017, it is an abstract tile-laying game inspired by traditional Portuguese tiles. It won the prestigious Spiel des Jahres 2018 award, which greatly boosted its popularity.

Its success is due to an unusual combination of factors:

• It's very easy to learn. In about 5-10 minutes, anyone can understand the basic rules.

• It has a lot of strategic depth. Although the rules are simple, every decision affects subsequent rounds and the options of other players.

• Constant interaction exists. You don't just try to optimize your board: you can also take tiles you know an opponent needs or leave them with an unfavorable combination. This tension makes games very competitive.

• Perfect duration. Games usually last between 30 and 45 minutes, making it easy to play several in a row.

The tournament date is Wednesday, August 19th, starting at 7 PM, and you can sign up at this link. The winners will receive an exclusive set of tournament tiles.

Slow Friending Lúdico [Friendships & whatever comes up]

This month we're slowing down the pace of available dates for games, but we're still offering your favorite activities. Since November 2025, Slow Friending Lúdico has become one of your favorite activities, and we won't leave you without it.

This time, we'll meet on Wednesday, August 26th, to celebrate a new edition in the "friendships & whatever comes up" format, aimed at making new friends without the pressure that all participants must be single; simply seeking friendship, and if something more arises, it will be welcome.

We will open registrations in the middle of the month and expect an attendance of 80 people (with gender parity). Pay attention to our social media!
